Part-time Chef/Cook for our Production Kitchen
Are you tired of the fast-paced, high-stress pressure of restaurant kitchens? Do you long for consistent hours and your weekends off to enjoy living in the Okanagan?
Our small artisan food company is looking for a bright, enthusiastic, food-loving, person, who is interested in growing with us. We recently expanded our production kitchen and are looking for someone who loves to cook and can help us in the day-to-day production of our jarred sauces and condiments.
Mon & Tues from 8:30am – 4:30pm. Potential for more days as need grows. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who already works a few days a week and wants to pick up some extra shifts. For the right candidate this could lead to more responsibility and more days.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepping large amounts of produce fresh from the orchards.
- Following and executing recipes from start to finish (raw ingredients, to finished jarred product)
- Using our large (40 gallon) steam kettle and semi-automatic filling machine
- Ensuring all products produced are up to Taste of the Okanagan standards
- Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment
- Jarring, labelling, stacking and sorting inventory
- Performing other kitchen duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Comfortable around large kitchen equipment such as steam kettles and large cutters.
- Good physical condition able to lift large (50lbs) boxes of produce.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Function independently with minimal supervision
- Food Safe Certification

Part-time Shipping Assistant
Are you self motivated and have the ability to work alone, but jump in where needed by the rest of the team? Our small artisan food company is looking for a diligent and reliable individual to join our team to help keep our valued customers stocked up. As a part of our team, you will be responsible for labelling, packaging, and shipping.
This is a perfect job for a stay at home mom, who wants to earn a little extra money with flexible hours. Or perhaps you have another job and just want some shifts on the side.
1-2 days a week with flexible daytime hours. Potential for more days as need grows.
Responsibilities include:
- Product labelling
- Inspecting products for defects and damages
- Process internet orders. Picking/packing/labeling/shipping.
- Process wholesale orders. Picking/packing pallets/wrapping pallets/arranging pickups.
- Organising stocks and maintaining inventory
- Keep warehouse clean and organised
- Repetitive tasks
- Applicants must be able to work on there feet and be able to lift 20kg
- Attention to detail
